Can you say YUM?? August 27, 2008 White Bird This is surely one of my favorite coffees I have ever tried from this line!!!!!!!!! WOW!!! Probably the smoothist dark roast I have ever had! You won't regret it! :)
great flavor and value July 12, 2008 K. Owen I originally tried this coffee because it was such a great price. I only buy fair trade organic coffee, which usually costs a fortune. I took a chance due to the good reviews, and I was very happy that I did. It has a nice, bold flavor. I grind it very fine to make a stronger brew, but it never tastes bitter.
Great Dark Roast Organic Coffee! (and It's not decaf) June 27, 2008 JKH (Nashville, TN) I've been buying Cafe Altura for more than 6 months now. Every roast has been excellent. Moreover, with Amazon's pricing, it is much cheaper than stocking up on similar quality coffee at a place like Whole Foods. I think the the "decaf" confusion arises from the fact that Cafe Altura uses the same bags for all their coffee. On the sides of those bags, it lists bullet points about the attributes of the coffee they produce. One of the bullet points is about swiss process decaf. I don't think the fact that Cafe Altura lists these things on the bags means that the coffee is always going to be decaf. They affix a clear plastic label on the front of the bag to indicate the type of coffee. I've ordered different varieties before and only packaging difference is that clear label. So, buy the coffee without fear of decaf. I think it taste excellent. You can also smell the fresh aroma of fresh beans upon opening the bag.
Decaf June 13, 2008 M. OBoyle (Galveston, TX USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The coffee tastes fine but, as others have noted, it states that it is decaffeinated on the side of the package. It is frustrating to specifically search for caffeinated coffees, and find this brand listed as one.
Great cup of coffee May 14, 2008 Ricky L. Meyers (pa) Excellent coffee, strong flavor silky smooth without a bitter after taste. I look forward to drinking this coffee every morning. One of the best coffees yet
