smooth mild coffee April 20, 2008 M. Gilham (Vidalia, Ga) Smooth tasting coffee. I didn't notice it was decaf when I ordered, but I have enjoyed it anyway! May have to switch to more decaf now!
disappointed April 7, 2008 K. Klein (Tucson) I bought this based on 3 reviews. I expected a bold, delicious coffee. I like S.B. Cafe Verona decaf for example. Perhaps my bags were old, but the smell is not fresh, the coffee is weak and when I make it stronger it is winey, dull and not very palatable. I must say that I am a chef and a former coffee buyer for a fine national specialty food chain, and was not impressed. I gave this 2 stars because I have had worse decaf for the price. Don't waste your money.
Not Sure What Happened March 7, 2008 Steven B. Beebe (Colorado Springs, CO USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
There are 3 very positive reviews for this coffee, so I ordered based on that. It is very difficult to find a good full bodied decaf. For reference sake, I like Cafe Verona from SB's, and some of the other bold blends. I also like some of the medium bodied coffees. I found this coffee to be almost undrinkable by itself. The beans are a very light brown, and when ground fairly fine in my burr grinder, they don't even have an appetizing coffee smell. I happen to blend 2 scoops of caffeinated coffee with 3 scoops of decaf - and that way it is okay. I'm sure if I weren't blending it, I wouldn't drink it. Because there are 3 very positive reviews I did provide some reference coffees that I like. Perhaps because I like a bold blend of coffee this just isn't for me. Or perhaps the 3 bags I got were very old. I won't buy this again. But I do appreciate the mission of Pura Vida.
Great buy on Gourmet coffee May 5, 2007 mrscandy (Boerne, TX USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I ordered three bags of this delicious gourmet coffee and used a gift certificate from my son. It was quite a bargain, and I have enjoyed the bold taste of this coffee in the mornings.
full flavor decaf March 10, 2007 ericathy (Boston, MA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
For rich deep flavor without tasting burned or smelling like chemicals, these beans can't be beat, nor can the Pura Vida company's mission. Look into it.
