good coffee October 31, 2008 L. Lin I bought this coffee because I love a good flavorful cup or two or three of coffee a day, but I can't have caffiene. Due to the amount of coffee I drink in a day, I wanted it to be all natural so I chose this brand. It is at least comparable to the best decaf. I have ever made at home or made in any one elses home, but of course nothing can compare to a cup of Starbucks made at Starbucks. I've tried their beans at home and they taste pretty much like any other decaf I've tried. I think french roast is really hard to decaffienate without losing the really distinct flavor, so until I find a better one, this one will do fine. I will keep trying other ones though, until I find an exceptional one.
Dark, rich, and smooth October 10, 2007 R. King 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've only begun to drink decaf coffee for health reasons. My fear was that I wouldn't be able to find the same depth of flavor as in caffeinated coffee. I was wrong. For a few weeks, I was using half regular and half decaf in order to wean myself from caffeine and avoid that pounding headache that accompanies withdrawal. I'm now enjoying fully decaffeinated coffee daily. This french roast doesn't leave anything to be desired, it's everything a good cup of coffee should be.
EXCELLENT Decaf! Highly recommended! June 16, 2007 D. Laichter (Delray Beach, FL.) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I buy the Pure Vida regular coffee and needed to buy a decaf coffee for an upcoming brunch so I purchased the Pure Vida Decaf. I served it and the 7 people who had it asked me what brand of coffee they were drinking! Wow, it's so delicious, flavorful and rich! I am truly impressed since I am not normally a fan of decaf coffee. I love Pure Vida and now when I go to someone's house for dinner, I bring a bag of Pure Vida rather than a cake. One purchase on Amazon and I get 3 bags to bring for 3 dinners! You can't order and hold onto a cake like you can a bag of coffee beans!
