Simple, clean taste. October 2, 2008 Tomorrow's Man (Chicago, IL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The good: Rich, buttery texture, great lemon flavor. I enjoy this product when I get home from work, because I don't want to drink caffeine. Plus this product has no added sugar, and is zero calories. There is no 'bitter' flavor - that flavor you associate with eating a lemon. Also, I use the k-cups two times & the lemon flavor is nearly fully consistent from cup-to-cup. The bad: The plastic cup is on the thin side, and it gets just a slight melt on two 1/2 penny sized areas of the k-cup (on the sides). This is not a big deal, unless you intend on using the k-cup twice. If you use it twice, wait about 10-15 minutes to let the cup cool down & it will return to room temperature.
Desperately wanted to love this product; just can't August 28, 2008 Charlie Blackwood (Cambridge, MA) I desperately wanted to love this unique k-cup option (love hot beverages, lemon, etc etc), but after many tried just can't bring myself to get excited about it. It does taste a bit like Thera-Flu, and has an unnecessary bitter aftertaste that I can't help but think Timothy's could have worked around somehow. If you're looking for a k-cup that's not an everyday American beverage, this is unfortunately a very disappointing choice.
Love it! August 20, 2008 Lady Sapphire (Wylie, TX USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was so incredibly excited to find this! As another reviewer has pointed out, this is mainly used for stomach issues but will be great when you've got a cold. Until finding this Canarino, I've used an italian liquour called limoncello following my dinner to help my stomach, but didn't like always having the alcohol. I set my Keurig on the lowest setting and add a spoon of sugar. Guess its personal taste, but not sure why all the lower reviews. This is very tasty plain, I just have a sweet tooth so add the touch of sugar. It's been a huge help for me! It soothes my stomach and the warmth is perfect to get me to sleep.
Enjoyable beverage. July 19, 2008 William H. Willis (Miami, FL) While this won't be my favorite Timothy's flavor (the Lemon Blueberry Passion is my number one), It is nevertheless quite tasty. The lemon flavor is the real thing, combining the flavor of juice with a hint of lemon zest for added "kick." And while they call it "hot lemon beverage," I also love it iced!
Disappointed June 23, 2008 A. Bell (Cape Cod, Massachusetts) I am a lover of all things lemon. I actually really love Theraflu, as a hot lemon drink, but was looking for something with a similar, hot lemonade sort of taste, without the meds in it, and decided to give this a try. Although the lemon flavor is authentic tasting, it just isn't nearly strong enough for me. Made using the lowest amount of water setting, to me, it just tastes like hot water that had a lemon slice squeezed into it. I wish it were a lot more lemony, and I wish I did not have so much of it now! Might use it when I have a cold, but for me it was a waste!
