 Makes a good cup of coffee but then will just stop heating! August 27, 2008

I am a big coffee drinker, I like a good, very hot, strong cup of coffee every morning. This coffee maker usually fit the bill on all of those aspects. I never really had a complaint about it. And then after having it for two years it just stopped heating the water all the way, there is nothing worse then a luke warm cup of coffee. And call my old fashioned but if I spend this kind of money I expect the product to work for many years. Don't waste your money...

I have had no problems with the unit..You do have to lift the top door slowly so the water build up under the lid doesn't fall behind it..

I loved this coffee maker until it died after only 1 1/2 years of service! The price we paid is way too high for the short amount of time we had the product - I will not buy another one.

I've had this coffee maker for almost a month now.The only 2 issues are the very small writing for the dials and the water chamber.These could both be larger or the chamber a little more user friendly.(I use a plastic cup to fill or a measuring cup with a spout). I like the idea of an internal water filter (order them from Amazon as well!)It's probably more like 4 Stars instead of the 3 I marked.
The machine does a GREAT job doing what it was designed to do.....make a fine cup of joe!
I will try to update at a year, or 365 pots, which ever comes first!

This coffee maker uses less coffee than my old one and it tastes much better. I love the signal when it is finished brewing and the auto shut off signal. well worth the extra dollars.
